Register of Measures The Murray–Darling Basin Authority (MDBA) has the responsibility for maintaining a register of supply and efficiency measures agreed by Basin governments to be considered in the Sustainable Diversion Limit (SDL) adjustment mechanism. This register must be published on the MDBA website. The register of measures reflects: • the formal notification of the package of measures to the Authority by the Basin Officials Committee (BOC) • all efficiency measures added to the notified package of measures until 31 December 2023 • updates to entitlements as they are acquired under the efficiency program until 31 December 2023 • all amendments to notifications up to 31 December 2023. Because of the interdependent nature of measures, an estimate of the likely supply contribution: • is calculated at an overall package level, rather than for each separate notified measure • is available subject to the completion of modelling of SDL adjustment measures • is provided through apportioning across surface water SDL resource units. The register is provided in the form of two tables: • Table A lists the relevant details of each notified measure (this Table is current at 4 May 2018) • Table B lists the efficiency entitlements and likely SDL adjustment for each of the Basin’s surface water SDL resource units (this table is current at 31 March 2019). 1 Office locations Adelaide, Albury-Wodonga, Canberra, Goondiwindi, Toowoomba Published 13/06/2019 mdba.gov.au 1800 230 067 [email protected] Table A - Details of measures Measure Proponent Geographic location Type of Details of the measure Surface water SDL Relevant Notification Date the measure resource units affected constraint amendment measure by the measure measures approval entered or will enter operation 1 Chowilla SA, NSW and Chowilla Creek Supply This measure identifies This project is not BOC 48 30/06/2024 The Chowilla Floodplain works is part of a program of The Floodplain Victoria all southern connected reliant on 18/05/2017 Living Murray (TLM) works at icon sites along the River TLM Project basin SDL resource constraint Murray to ensure that environmental water recovered as units as affected units measures for part of TLM is used efficiently and ecological elements are for the purposes of implementation or maintained.
