Proposing to add 156,616 Square Foot Class A office space. Submitted for DRC review on September 27, 2018. Notable Leasing Activity 1. 2900 Monarch Lakes Boulevard – United Data Technologies - Tenant Enrique Fleches leased 21,154 Square Feet of office space. Expected to be delivered in December 2018. 2. 16901 Miramar Parkway (Super Target Outparcel) – ABC Fine Wines & Spirits, a 12,513 Square Foot retail store. Expected to be delivered in December 2018. 3. Monarch Towne Center submitted for Development Review process. Proposing to construct a 170,000 Square Foot retail center at the Northwest corner of Miramar Parkway and Flamingo Road. Scheduled to be on October 3, 2018 Commission Meeting. 4. Altis Commercial is in the Development Review process. Proposing to construct a 50,000 Square Foot retail center at the Northwest corner of Miramar Parkway and Red Road. Industrial-Flex Proposed/In Construction 1. 7403 Riviera Boulevard (Building E) – a 16,800 Square Foot Class B industrial warehouse building to begin construction in September 2018. 2. 7451 Riviera Boulevard – MegaCenter (Buildings A and C), a total of 98,085 Square Feet Class B industrial warehouse buildings are to be delivered in January/February 2019. 3. 3590 South State Road 7 - Extra Space Storage. City Commission approved for renovation and expansion on May 16, 2018. Project consists of 128,512 Square Feet of self-storage use and 1,430 square feet of retail use. Applying for building permit for renovating existing building (Phase I). 4. 14900 SW 30th Street - Extra Space Self-Storage. City Commission approved site plan in November 2016. Project consists of 111,050 Square Foot of self-storage use. Applying for building permit. 5. 12002 Miramar Parkway - Flamingo Park of Commerce Self Storage. A four-story building consists of 78,400 Square Foot of self-storage use, was administratively approved on February 2, 2016. Currently in construction. SW 145th Avenue & SW 27th Street - Holiday Inn Express, a five-story, 64,589 Square Foot Hospitality Hotel consists of 117 rooms. City Commission approved on February 15, 2017. Building permit being reviewed. 2. 3650 Red Road - Woodspring Suites, a four-story, 60,000 Square Foot Hospitality Hotel consists of 123 rooms. Construction began in September 2018. 3. 10800 Marks Way - Spring Hill Suites, an 81,010 Square Foot Hospitality Hotel. Building to be delivered in November 2018. 4. Southwest corner of Miramar Parkway and Red Road - Memorial Free Standing Emergency Room. Proposed 16,958 Square Foot of Medical Facility. City Commission approved on July 3, 2018. 5. 1901 Southwest 172nd Avenue - Memorial Medical Building. Construction of four-story, 125,000 square foot, medical office building to service the existing Memorial Miramar Hospital. City Commission approved on August 22, 2018. 6. Northwest corner of Miramar Parkway and Red Road - Miramar Park Place. Proposing 50,000 Square Feet of commercial retail center. Currently in the Development Review process. 7. 1700 Douglas Road - WaWa Gas Station. Proposed 6,119 Square Foot of convenience store with 8 gas pumps under an approx. 7,500 Square Foot of canopy. City Commission approved on July 3, 2018. Business Update MicroEnterprise Program - 8 businesses inquired about the program. 2 businesses submitted application; both applications are being reviewed for eligibility. BusinessF1rst Corporate Outreach Program - 21 companies contacted. 6 companies visited. Historic Miramar Small Business Outreach Program - 12 businesses were visited. DEPARTMENT HIGHLIGHTS 1. Notice of Funding Availability announced for Minor Home Repair Program and First-time Home Buyer Program. Pre-screening forms were submitted by 631 households. 2. Completed the 2018 SHIP Affordable Housing Incentives Report. 3. Miramar Community Garden received donation of a 20-tower verti-gro hydroponic system which will allow for soil-free vegetable production. Finance and Management & Budget _________________________________________________________________ Fourth Quarter FY2018 Quarterly Report Snapshot Finance and Management & Budget QUARTERLY REPORT: July to September 2018 EXECUTIVE SUMMARY The results shown in this preliminary report represent the information known as of October 29, 2018. The results are expected to change as the year-end close process continues. The revised budget amounts do not include Budget Amendments pending approval by City Commission. The final results will be presented upon the issuance of the FYE 2018 Comprehensive Annual Financial Report. Schedule 1 GENERAL FUND FINANCIAL HIGHLIGHTS • Tax Revenue collections are at 98% of the budget, 5% better than last year. Although Property tax, Communication Services Tax and Electricity Franchise fee receipts increased over the prior year they were less than expected. • Licenses and Permits collections are at 142% of the budget, 24% better than last year. The increase over the prior year is due to an increase in building permit fees collected. • Intergovernmental Revenues was 7% better than last year due to an increase in Half-Cent Sales Tax
