GOVERNOR’S SECRETARIAT ARUNACHAL PRADESH ITANAGAR PRESS RELEASE Shri Pema Khandu sworn-in as the Chief Minister Shri Pema Khandu has been sworn-in as the Chief Minister of Arunachal Pradesh in a magnificent function at the Dorjee Khandu Convention Centre, Itanagar on 29 th May 2019. The Governor of Arunachal Pradesh Brig. (Dr.) B.D. Mishra (Retd.) administered the Oath of Office and Secrecy to him. The Governor, in exercise of the powers, conferred on him by article 164 (1) of the Constitution of India, appointed Shri Pema Khandu to be Chief Minister of Arunachal Pradesh. Shri Chowna Mein, Member of Legislative Assembly was also sworn in as the Deputy Chief Minister of the State on the occasion. In exercise of the powers conferred on him by article 164 (1) of the Constitution of India and on the advice of the Chief Minister, the Governor appointed Shri Chowna Mein as the Deputy Chief Minister and administered the Oath of Office and Secrecy to him. The Governor also administered the oath of office and secrecy to Shri Wanki Lowang, Shri Honchun Ngandam, Shri Kamlung Mossang, Shri Alo Libang, Shri Bamang Felix, Er. Tumke Bagra, Shri Mama Natung, Er. Tage Taki, Er. Taba Tedir and Shri Nakap Nalo. First Lady of the State, Smt Neelam Misra, Chief Minister of Assam Shri Sarbananda Sonowal, Chief Minister of Tripura Shri Biplab Kumar Deb, Chief Minister of Manipur Shri N Biren Singh, Chief Minister of Nagaland Shri Neiphiu Rio, Chief Minister of Meghalaya Shri Conrad Sangma, NEDA Chairman and Senior Minister of Assam Shri Hemanta Biswa Sarma and both Members of Parliament (Lok Sabha) from the Arunachal Pradesh Shri Kiren Rijiju and Shri Tapir Gao were present on the occasion amongst others.
