SERVICES HYDROGRAPHIC Geodynamics performs hydrographic surveys for clients including USACE Wilmington, USACE Baltimore, the US Navy NAVFAC Atlantic, the USACE Coastal Inlets Research Program, the NOAA Center for Coastal Fisheries and Habitat Research, and the North Carolina Division of Coastal Management. We also provide coastal mapping services to Town and County governments, engineering firms, coastal development and resource management groups. Our survey projects and analyses have received high praise for our procedures, data quality and prompt delivery. Geodynamics maintains a full suite of scientific instruments and customized surveying platforms to accommodate a variety of hydrographic surveys. Geodynamics is one of few private firms that maintains high-resolution multibeam capability on the US East coast, and one of very few in the world operating the dual-head sonar capable of collecting high density, extra wide swath data. GEOPHYSICAL Geodynamics performs geophysical surveys and seabed assessments for a variety of federal and state government clients and private firms. Our geophysical survey projects explore all dimensions of the seabed using the latest technology and analysis tools. Geodynamics maintains a full suite of scientific instruments and customized surveying platforms to accommodate a variety of geophysical surveys of the surface, sub-surface, composition, and evolution of the seabed in the most demanding environments. TOPOGRAPHIC Geodynamics performs a wide range of topographic services that support coastal and nearshore mapping. Our staff holds advanced degrees in geodesy and coastal geology, bringing a keen understanding of the sophisticated GPS technologies used to evaluate the underlying environmental processes. We provide beach profile surveys, marsh and tideland surveys, feature /attribute mapping, and geodetic control for terrestrial, LIDAR and hydrographic surveys. Our topographic projects utilize real-time and post-processed methods of Real-Time Kinematic corrections with the latest GPS survey instrumentation and processing software. GIS AND DATA PROCESSING Geodynamics specializes in high-end Geographic Information Systems, offering a broad spectrum of GIS services from simple data conversion to complex hydrographic data processing, data modeling and analysis. Our products include database design and management, data integration, Digital Elevation & Terrain Modeling, seamless merge of topographic and bathymetric data, datum derived shoreline change analysis and high-resolution seafloor bathymetry and backscatter data visualization. Experienced and nationally certified GIS Professionals outline GIS / processing demands, create a customized project workflow, and complete each GIS / processing task with accuracy and precision in a timely manner. Geodynamics recognizes the vital role that metadata plays in the production of geospatial products, and therefore supplies standardized metadata with every product. SUPPORT SERVICES Geodynamics owns and operates five USCG approved Class I & II research vessels, each designed primarily for bathymetric mapping and sidescan survey operations. These vessels may be leased independently, or may be mobilized with our hydrographic survey equipment. We perform rapid-response surveys; specialize in sonar systems installation/ calibration and RTK/VRS-GPS integration and support. Our highly trained and experienced team is here to support any of your coastal research needs. Our unique mobility and quick ability to be on-site at remote research locations provide an exceptional opportunity for clients eager to take advantage of specific weather conditions, storm events, or scheduling windows. In addition, our shallow-draft highly maneuverable vessels allow unprecedented access to the nearshore coastal zone.
