The Edmonton Garrison Memorial Golf & Curling Club, formerly the Lancaster Park Golf & Curling Club, is forged with golf and curling tradition. The golf club was built in the early fifties by many Royal Canadian Air Forces personnel and the curling club started in the sixties at the Griesbach Curling Club. In 2013, we rebranded our facility in an effort to create a ‘living memorial’ experience for the military personnel posted here on base as well as the many off-base visitors that utilize our facility. As part of our team, you would display the following shared competencies: Client Service, Organizational Knowledge, Communication, Innovation, Teamwork and Leadership Under the direction of the Superintendent, the Greens Supervisor supervises the day-to-day work activities of maintenance, labour, grounds and other employees, including scheduling, assignment of daily tasks, and training of new employees. He/she ensures that work meets golf course maintenance standards and develops maintenance programs for golf course and related equipment. He/she also maintains greens, tee box areas, fairways, bunkers and rough areas and will determine the proper rate of pesticides, fertilizers and fungicides and apply as necessary.
