Subject: Learjet 45 Checklist (U.S. Units) — Change 2 The following summary describes the changes that are incorporated with this change. NORMAL PROCEDURES After Landing/Clearing Relocated “Standby Attitude Indicator — Cage”” step to Shut- Runway down procedure. Even though the gyro is caged, it is still func- tioning and normal taxiing procedures and tarmac irregularities may contribute to excess wear and tear on the unit. Shutdown Added step to cage the standby attitude indicator after the air- craft has been parked. PERFORMANCE DATA TAKEOFF Added shading and the statement that shaded areas are for interpolation only. This statement was erroneously left out on some tables. EMERGENCY PROCEDURES General Changes Updated Tab references. Miscellaneous formatting changes throughout section. No change to content. Cabin/Cockpit Fire, Revised step to use Clearance Delivery Radio to tune COM 1. Smoke or Funes LR GEN FAIL Deleted reference to the 38 amp-hr Ni-Cad battery, as the duration time of 1.0 hr is the same for Lead-Acid or Ni-Cad batteries. Revised step to clarify the conditions that will exist with emer- gency battery until main batteries have been depleted.. Loss of Both Genera- Deleted reference to using RMU 1 to tune COM 1 as RMU 1 is tors and Both Main not available if main battery is not on-line. Batteries Moved RMU 1 from operative to inoperative column. L REV UNSAFE R REV UNSAFE Clarified procedure by adding step to reduce speed to 160 UNL or DEP KIAS or below as required to maintain level flight. During Takeoff Above V1 Speed In flight Added the work “level” to clarify the procedure step. L CHK IC SW Added amber CAS messages to indicate that there is a mis- R CHK IC SW match between the loaded IC-600 software and the approved LR CHK IC SW configuration software ID file, or that the program enable dis- crete is active. These CAS messages will appear in ground mode, and are inhibited on takeoff. Landing Gear Free Fall Revised procedure to clarify action after GEAR FREEFALL lever step has been initiated.
