or policy. It involves people participating in decision-making processes which affect their lives. Advocacy strategies can include lobbying, social marketing, information, education and communication, community organizing or other tactics. Civil Society Organizations organizations that have a presence in public life, expressing the interests and values of their members (CSOs) refer to a wide array of non-governmental and not-for-profit therefore refer to a wide of array of organizations: community groups, non-governmental organizations (NGOs),or others, labor based unions, on ethical, indigenous cultural, groups, political, charitable scientific, organizations, religious or philanthropicfaith-based organizations, considerations. professional CSOs associations, and foundations.
