A MESSAGE FROM THE We would like to welcome you to the 2016 West Ranch Baseball spring season! The boys have been working to try and continue the winning ways of Wildcat Baseball. Last year West Ranch fi nished as the Foothill League fourth place team and missed the playoffs for the fi rst time in six years. The Cats had a successful run in the Easton Sports Tournament to start the season. The varsity squad beat El Camino Real at USC in the annual game at Dedeaux Field. The spring break tournament was another great experience as the Cats participated in the prestigious National Classic in Orange County beating host school El Dorado. The Wildcats return several players who bring varsity experience with them. Right hander Jack Cunningham who last year committed to San Jose State, will help anchor a talented pitching staff. Junior all- league and Cal State Fullerton commit Timmy Josten will give the staff a solid one-two punch from each side of the mound. Senior all-league returners Jason Drees and Blake Baumgartner will power a potent offense. The team will need others to contribute. The Cats will look for senior arms Christy Frierson, Sam Gray, Devin Judge, Michael Rosati, and Simon Pilato to add depth to the pitching staff. Underclassmen Dom Eberle will also see innings on the mound. On offense, seniors Doug Gragg and Daniel Luevano will add some power. Junior fi elders Garren Bui, Austin Hernandez, Alex Lee, and Nico Valdez will see the fi eld. Talented Sophomores Will Chambers and Christos Stefanos will be looked upon to help move the Wildcats back to the top of the league in 2016. The team has put in the time and hard work to be successful this season. So sit back and enjoy our 9th varsity season here at The Ranch.
