Pages 1 Passenger Information Validity of Single Journey Sub-urban Tickets:- Period of validity of Sub-urban tickets for availing of sub-urban trains is one hour i.e. within one hour of issuance of the ticket, suburban trains are to be availed of. Validity of Return Journey Tickets Over Suburban Section:- Ordinary return journey tickets are valid either on the date of issue or the next day. If the ‘Next day’ is a Sunday or a public Holiday declared by the State concerned or Central Govt., the tickets for return journey will remain valid till the working day immediately following the Sunday or Public holiday concerned. The tickets for return journey will however, be valid for one time use only. Rules Regarding Issue of Season Tickets :- Second class Season Tickets, Monthly, Quarterly, Half Yearly and Yearly are issued for station pairs, for which distance apart does not exceed 150 Kms within suburban and non-suburban areas of this Railway, but for distance beyond 150 Kms only those station pairs, which enjoyed this facility prior to 01.04.1951 are eligible. Season Tickets are issued during the working hours of the Booking Office as notified by Divisional Railway Manager. Season Tickets shall remain valid for one calendar Month for Monthly Season Tickets, three calendar Months for Quarterly Season Ticket, six calendar months for Half yearly Season Ticket and twelve calendar months for yearly season ticket. 2 The season ticket will be valid only when it is accompanied by the Photo Identity card. Identity Card contains Card Number, Name, Address, Age, Gender and Signature of the holder. The commuter is required to affix his/her photograph in the space provided in the Identity card and fill up other particulars and submit the same to the Booking counter for issue of season ticket. The Identity card and plastic cover for keeping the season ticket are issued on payment. In addition to the existing system of the Railway issuing Identity card, the Identity card, PAN Card, Passport, Driving License, Voter Identity card and Credit Card issued with photograph by any Government in India or some Government Agency in India will also be accepted as proof of Identity Card for issue and renewal of season tickets. The Serial No. of such document shall be written on season tickets. While travelling, the passenger must carry this document along with season tickets. The Identity Card shall remain valid for 5(five) years or such times it gets defaced, mutilated whichever is earlier. It is necessary for the passenger to produce the Identity Card along with Season Ticket. Otherwise Season Ticket shall be invalid and the passenger shall treated as without ticket passenger. Holders of Season Tickets are permitted to purchase fresh season tickets upto 10 days in advance of the date of expiry of their tickets. Season Ticket is not transferable and shall be used only by the person for whose journey it is issued. Season tickets are not valid for travel in reserved coaches and trains. They are valid for travel by passenger trains. In case of Mail/Exp/Superfast trains, they are valid 3 for travel by only those Mail/Exp./Superfast trains where it is specifically been permitted by Railway administration. Carriage of Luggage : The maximum limit of luggage that can be carried by second class season ticket holder in passenger compartment is 10 kgs. Girl students upto Free On production of Rly. graduation (B.A, B.Sc, concession order from B.Com) and Boy students their school/college upto class XII. IZZAT MST : Persons working in unorganized sector with monthly income not exceeding Rs.1,500/-may obtain Izzat MST, uniformly priced of Rs. 25/- (inclusive of all charges) for travel up to a distance of maximum 150 kms. from the station serving his place of residence to the station serving the place of work on production of the following documents in prescribed format. 1. For obtaining IZZAT MST the passenger should first obtain income certificate from Local Government officials i.e. SDM/SDO/ BDO/ Tehsilder and thereafter obtain income certificate from Hon’ble Member of Parliament of Lok Sabha 2. After obtaining income certificates from the Governmental officials as mentioned above recommendation from Hon’ble Member of Parliament of Rajya Sabha andUnion Ministers should submitted to the DRMs. 3. On production of above mentioned income certificate and copy of photo identity- card-cum residential proof, Izzat MST should be issued. 4. In case of Izzat MST issued on production of income certificate from the District Magistrate or on BPL Card or any other certificate issued by Central Government under a recognized poverty alleviation programme 5 including Ration Cards issued to the persons under “Antyodhya Anna Purna Yogna”. Izzat MST will be issued directly on production of residence proof as prescribed as mentioned below(Separate income certificate from SDM/SDO/BDO/Tahsilder shall not be required in these cases) 5. For residential proof the following may be accepted i.e.Photo Identity card, Passport, Driving license, Ration Card, Aadhar Card, Bank Pass Book from Nationalized Bank with Photograph or any other Photo Identity Card- cum-residential proof issued by with photograph by any Government of India or a Government Agency in India.
