Draught Cider

CURRENTLY AVAILABLE - DRAUGHT CIDER Our draught ciders and perries bag-in-boxes are made to order from limited edition 1000L blends. They are all made from fresh pressed juice from apples and pears grown ourselves and naturally fermented using the wild yeasts present on our farm. This is real cider made by real people. Bag-in-Box Cider Dabinett,Somerset Redstreak & Mixed Sharps Oak Cask Blend – 6.7% – £35.00/20L A light and soft blend showcasing oak cask influence in a quieter, more subtle manner. Utilising Dabinett as the base, Somerset Redstreak offers it’s classic fruity and smooth mid palate, whilst the mixed sharps from our Strawberry Field orchard give some punch and juiciness in this rollicking and enjoyable cider. 2019 Single Orchard Blend – 7.2% – £35.00/20L A full bodied cider with gloriously smooth and silky flavour. Melon and peach notes on the front and then a really long and generous apple-y finish, in this blend of apples from our 'Strawberry Field' Orchard. A mixed orchard where we did once grow top fruits, there's now more than forty varieties in this field. 2019 Three Apple Twist – 5.0% - £35.00/20L A fruity, juicy blend of three different apples. Browns, a sharp, with low fruit notes, light body (and thereby low alcohol), provides the base, which Tardive builds on with it’s powerful tannic finish. Completed with the addition of Foxwhelp to bring a dash of intensity to this refreshing, slightly sharp cider. 2019 Major S.V. 6.8% - £35.00/20L A single variety draught option, Major is an early season bittersweet apple with recognisable character. Earthy, phenolic and with a big body, Major is one of our favourite varieties. Biennial for us, we only get enough Major every other year to produce cider from our trees. When it is available, it’s always drank quickly! 2020 Dabinett/Sharps Blend 7.2% - £35.00/20L A very flavoursome young cider. A late season blend of mostly Dabinett, alongside some Reinette d’Obry and other mixed sharps from our ‘Strawberry Field’ orchard. This cider is has all the delicious, orange pith and clove spiced tannins of Dabinett, lifted by the intense fruitiness and crisp acidity the sharp apples bring. Although 7.2%, the flavour is there to match, meaning this is a balanced, full-bodied cider that is easy to enjoy. Keg Cider ‘Birdbarker’ – 5.5% - Available in 30L Unikeg - £75+VAT – Or in a 50L Steel Keg (return must be arranged) - £120+VAT Medium Dry Sparkling Cider, a blend of bittersharps and bittersweets with carbonation – resulting in a cider with a full mouthfeel, and a more tannic backbone than mainstream commercial ciders. Without sheep on the farm to herd, she took to chasing the birds. ‘Frontier’ – 6.7% - Available in 50L Returnable Stainless - £120+VAT – HOGAN’S CIDER COLLAB This is a groundbreaking dry, collaboration cider.
