Auburn has won eleven conference titles seven of which were in the SEC. Auburn finished the regular season with a 13-0 record. In 1892 Auburn played as an independent in their first season as a college football team since then they have had 6 undefeated seasons dating back to 1913. Auburn’s first bowl game appearance was in 1936 they played in the Bacardi Bowl in Havana, Cuba. Auburn is all around an outstanding football team. “Auburn has the 13th most wins in D-1A college football. Oregon’s first bowl game was in 1917 the Rose Bowl they defeated University of Pennsylvania. The Oregon ducks lost their star QB before the 2010 season. “Despite the loss of Masoli, the Ducks dominated their opponents in the 2010 season. On October 17, the team moved up to the #1 ranking in both the AP and USA Today Coaches Poll for the first time in school history. This occurred after the #1-ranked teams, the Ohio State Buckeyes and the Alabama Crimson Tide lost in consecutive weeks. On October 31, Oregon moved up to #1 in the BCS standings. On November 26, despite defeating #21 Arizona and clinching the Pac-10 championship, they fell .0002 points behind the new #1, Auburn” Star player on the Tigers is of course Heisman Trophy winner Auburn Quarter Back Cam Newton. Newton has won three National Titles, one as a backup QB for the Florida Gators. And after that he played for Blinn Junior College and won the NJCAA title. This 2010 season he threw for 2,854 yards and 30 touchdowns.
