#1 Who are my “oikos”? “When He saw the crowds, He had compassion on them, because they were harassed and helpless, like sheep without a shepherd. “ Mathew 9:36 Dear God, in the upcoming months, our CCCM congregation will come together in one heart and mind to be your witnesses among our “Oikos”. I asked that you will grant us the compassion and loving heart of Jesus Christ, so that we can see what Jesus see, feel what Jesus feel. Help us to be sensitive as to whom you have placed on the “front burner” of our lives. Help us support each other’s effort in bringing our Oikos to Christ. Lord, please reveal in my heart those you have planned to be my “oikos”. I pray that you will help me to become an ideal instrument of your grace. Soften my heart and give me the desire and urgency to make the investment required to bring them to Christ. # 2 Pray! Pray! Pray! “As long as Moses held up his hands, the Israelites were winning, but whenever he lowered his hands, the Amalekites were winning. “ Exodus 17:11 Dear Heavenly Father, I pray that you would make me a prayer warrior like Moses. Help me to make a commitment to set aside a time each day to pray persistently for the salvation of __________________ (names on Oikos list). I pray that you would also grant me the perseverance to continue praying until they come to know you and your Son Jesus Christ. I believe that when I raise up my hands in prayer, you will listen. You will lead me in fighting this spiritual battle until victory is claimed; until ____________________ (names on Oikos list) are saved. #3 Make me a worker, Lord “Ask the Lord of the harvest, therefore, to send out workers into His harvest field.” Matthew 9:38 Dear Lord, ____________________ (names on Oikos list) need your love, healing, and salvation. Please shine your grace upon ____________________ (names on Oikos list). Help them recognize their need for your salvation. Please send worker or me into their lives to witness to them. Lord, make me a worker in your harvest field. Use me as an instrument to bring _____________________ (names on Oikos list) to Jesus. Show me ways and create opportunities for me to build good and caring relationship. Give me the courage and wisdom to put my prayers into action. #4 Be prepared “But in your heart, set apart Christ as Lord. Always be prepared to give an answer to everyone who asks you to give the reason for the hope that you have. But do this in gentleness and respect.” 1 Peter 3:15 Dear Jesus, You are my Lord and Savior. Please grant me the opportunity to share my testimony and good news with ________________. Help me grow spiritually in you, so that when I witness to __________________, I will be prepared to respond to their needs, and be a Christian who can give an answer to everyone who asks about the hope that I have. Help me to be prepared at all times to share your good news. Please help ________________ to recognize you as the one and only true living God, and they will accept you as their Lord and Savior. #5 Resurrection of the bones “This is what the Sovereign Lord says to these bones: I will make breath enter you, and you will come to life.” Ezekiel 37:5 Dear Lord, praise you for your sovereignty. __________________ (names on Oikos list) are spiritually dead right now. They are like the dry bones in Ezekiel’s vision. I pray that you would make breath enter ___________________, and they will come to life spiritually. Lord, you love them and delight in seeing them come to life. I believe that you will listen to my earnest prayers. The Holy Spirit will enter _________________. They will be reborn and their lives will be transformed. #6 Faith “Jesus said, ‘everything is possible for him who believes.’” Mark 9:23 Dear Jesus, sometimes I feel that it is hopeless for ________________to turn to Christ. Please strengthen my faith and not be discouraged when I see nothing is happening. Take away any doubts or negative thoughts in me. Teach me to walk by faith instead of by sight. Help me to believe that everything is possible through you. Help me to pray for _________________ unceasingly and take action in building relationship with them. Help me to watch for appropriate opportunities to discuss and demonstrate my faith in Christ. When I do, please give ___________________ eyes to see, ears to hear, faith to believe and the will to respond to your sacrificing love. #7 Boldness to witness “Now, Lord, consider their threats and enable your servants to speak your word with great boldness. ” Acts 4:29 Dear Lord, It is not easy. I love ______________________. I want to share the gospel with them. Sometimes I feel rejected. I fear that I don’t know what to say or how to answer their questions. Sometimes I am just scared of what their responses might be. Please help me overcome any fears that I might have when facing rejections, disappointments and challenges. Teach me to put my complete trust and faith in you. Enable me to speak your word with great boldness when I reach out to __________________. Lord, give me the boldness to invite them to church or other activities where they will open their heart to respond to your message. #8 Do not give up “Then Jesus told his disciples a parable to show them that they should always pray and not give up.” Luke 18:1 Dear Jesus, please give me a fervent heart to pray for _________________, and reach out to them with genuine love and care. Help me not to be discouraged, but to always pray, look for opportunities and develop plans to bring __________________ to Jesus. I ask that you cease all dark forces and evil spirits that hinder _______________ from believing in Jesus. Please create a hunger in their hearts for you and your words. Convict ________________in their hearts, and let them come to repentance before you. #9 The Lord’s desire “The Lord is not slow in keeping His promise, as some understand slowness. He is patient with you, not wanting anyone to perish, but everyone to come to repentance.” 2 Peter 3:9 Dear God, I praise you for you are a sovereign God who has perfect timing in everything. You are patient with ____________________, not wanting them to perish. Please open their eyes that they may discover the wonder of your revelation. You will take control of their lives and give them the wisdom to know Jesus Christ as their only Lord and Saviour. Grant ___________________a heart of true repentance and surrender to you. It is your desire to deliver them from the bondage of sin and enjoy life to the fullest. #10 Saving the lost “For the Son of Man came to seek and to save what was lost.” Luke 19:10 Dear Jesus, thank you for leaving your glorious heaven to become man on earth. You came to seek and to save what was lost. I pray that you will seek out ___________________ until they repent and return to you. I pray that your Holy Spirit will help them understand and accept your salvation. They will no longer be enticed by Satan and the things of this world. Like the prodigal Son who was embraced and welcomed home by his loving father, so will ________________. You will welcome them into your kingdom with open arms. #11 Power of God “The seventy-two returned with joy and said, ‘Lord, even the demons submit to us in your name.’” Luke 10:17 Dear God, I praise you in your powerful name. You are the victorious God, and your power is now and forever! I pray that your power will pour into the lives of _______________________. You have given us power to defeat the enemy’s schemes and lies, and to bring ______________ under your name. I pray that ________________ will sense your presence in their lives and that you would draw each of them closer to you. I pray that they will come to fear and worship you, and shout with joy in your glorious name. #12 The gospel is the power of God “I am not ashamed of the gospel, because it is the power of God for the salvation of everyone who believes….” Romans 1:16 Thank You, Lord, for using me as your instrument to spread your Word. Even though I may face resistance and challenges, I remain joyful in my heart. I am not ashamed of the gospel, because it is the power of God for the salvation of everyone who believes. When I share the gospel with ____________________, I ask that the power of God comes upon them, heals them physically, emotionally and spiritually, bring miracles and transformation to their lives. #13 Opportunity to witness “And pray for us, too, that God may open a door for our message, so that we may proclaim the mystery of Christ, for which I am in chains. Pray that I may proclaim it clearly, as I should. Be wise in the way you act toward outsiders; make the most of every opportunity.” Colossians 4:3-5 Dear God, I pray that you would open doors and opportunities for me to witness to _______________. Help me to listen to the Holy Spirit so that I know how to pray for them.
