It all started with the Chalke Valley Lent Project 2010. Caroline Lamb had visited Kajo Keji in 2009 and was moved by the lack of education, health provision and poor infrastructure. Agricultural training is helping feed refugee families On Caroline’s return she started fundraising in earnest to help the people she had met. The mission focus of CRESS is sowing seeds for life, providing the South Sudanese with the skills, training and resources to become self-suffi cient, sustainable and ethical communities. CRESS originally worked in South Sudan but due to the civil war this became too dangerous. In 2017 CRESS followed the South Sudanese refugees into Northern Uganda where it now works in partnership with the Dioceses of Liwolo & Kajo Keji. Part of the work of CRESS is to equip the local Bishop, + Joseph Aba, to train clergy and share the Gospel widely in rural areas.
