The world over, the pandemic is affecting health, lifestyle and economy. However, we are striving to bring you reliable, timely updates from The Yoga Institute. It is common for people to feel overwhelmed and anxious when there is so much update on the Corona virus and its adverse impact on our physical and mental state as well as on our nances. COVID-19 is absolutely the biggest global threat of our time. However, it is not the only news. The Yoga Institute has been sharing ways to cope up with the predicament by debunking myths, updating facts, spreading awareness, and also hosting live Yoga sessions. Make the most of this time to travel inward and discover the blissful world within by following Yoga way of living. Keep practicing Yoga to stay sane and safe. Remembering Dr. Jayadeva on his 91st Birth Anniversary, with profound respect and deep love, we want to share this true yogi’s take on fear and faith. Dr Jayadeva, in one of his talks stated, “ We lack the inner calm, certainty and condence because we don’t believe in such an element that provides this condence and certainty. Right from childhood, we are conditioned to see uncertainty in every situation. If there is faith, fear disappears. Faith, that whatever happens anywhere, God will be there to take care of it. “ With that faith, we respect and abide by the 21-days lockdown, the most conscious decision for the welfare of India. The Yoga Institute has always been at the forefront to help society during testing times. To express our gratitude to all the unsung heroes like BMC staffers, police ofcers, health care professionals, and other essential workers, we are providing them with free sattvic meals. So with deep conviction, we continue to do our duty and take every step we can to keep safe. Together, we look forward to continuing our journey with you all through this health crisis, and on the other side of it, when India prevails. Stay home, stay healthy, and stay in touch. When I had the additional responsibilities of giving interviews and shooting with TV channels, I wasn’t able to manage my household chores along with that. That’s when Dr. Sahab stepped in and took up some of the household work to help me through it. I then convinced him to get the assistance of a maid. He only had one condition, that she would train under me so that she would understand the responsibilities correctly. He was Smt. Hansaji J. Ananda, the chief disciple, says... The evening sun, bright and orange Multitude of bhikkhus in their orange and yellow robes Sitting in quiet repose in their asana... Waiting for their Lord and master... Buddha, also called the Sakhya Muni, To start his evening discourse.... Seven long years it took my beloved master, says Ananda. To master the art of supreme mindfulness Ananda recounts this nal sharing of the Venerable Buddha.... And this evening he was going to share with his beloved ....and the Lord Buddha, with yellow and orange coloured bhikkhus photons Thronged under the ery orange shafts of light Floating around his Noble Head... Arranges his robes mindfully.. .... And mindfully sits in Padmasana. And Buddha said ...beloved bhikkhus, start watching the breath .... For nine counts initially Watch the breath, coming in and going out, There’s a hushed silence, bhikkhus watching Like a watchman who sees people coming in and going out.
