This Standard The US Well Number Standard: An identifier for the Petroleum Industry Wells in the USA is the official successor to Bulletin D12A of the American Petroleum Institute (API). In 2010, the API transferred custody of this Standard to the Professional Petroleum Data Management (PPDM) Association.
