Mairtín Ó h-Allmhúráin Cathaoirleach Coiste Iomána na Mí 5 MEATH GAA CHAMPIONSHIPS 2020 FEATURE Michael ‘Harry’ Connor Stalwart of Meath Hurling Michael ‘Harry’ Connor is a legend in Trim and Meath GAA’s history. He started playing juvenile football and hurling in the early 1960s. He progressed through the grades and by 1970 he was an established member of the senior teams in each code. He was an accomplished footballer and featured in the 1971 campaign that brought the club to the senior semi-final. There they faced the Kilbride side of Quinn renown and lost by two points. Peter Darby presents Michael ‘Harry’ Connor with the first-ever Trim GAA Club Hall of Fame Award Hurling was Harry’s love. He was an established senior hurler as Trim went into the 1970s.
