RECRUITMENT INITIATIVES Type of Recruitment Initiative Brief Description of Activity (Menu Selection) 1 Participate in Events or Programs Sponsored by During this reporting period, our SEU Educational Institutions Relating to Career participated in a Media Shadowing Program Opportunities in Broadcasting with Tennessee State University. This Program provides practical, on-site experience to students studying Broadcast Communications. We welcomed one interested student at our facilities in Nashville to “shadow” members of our staff. 2 Internship Program Throughout this reporting period, our SEU hosted student interns from area colleges. The interns were exposed to all facets of broadcast operations and assisted with various clerical duties as well as on- and off-site events. During this reporting period we hosted four interns from Trevecca University, Tennessee State University, Middle Tennessee State University, and Belmont University in our SEU’s programming and promotions departments. 3 Participate in Events or Programs Sponsored by In July 2018, our SEU’s General Manager, Educational Institutions Relating to Career Operations Manager, and WKDF Program Opportunities in Broadcasting Director participated in the National Radio Institute Seminar designed to educate college talent about the broadcasting industry and how to navigate the college-to-career transition. All three SEU members spoke to Western Kentucky University Broadcast Communications students and explained how to enter the radio industry. {01411171-2 } Type of Recruitment Initiative Brief Description of Activity (Menu Selection) 4 Participate in Events or Programs Sponsored by In November 2018, our WQQK Promotions Educational Institutions Relating to Career Director attended Media Day at Tennessee Opportunities in Broadcasting State University. Media Day is designed to give students contact with local media representatives, who are available to answer any questions they may have about the broadcasting industry. Our WQQK Promotions Director interacted with many interested students about career opportunities in radio. 5 Participate in Events or Programs Sponsored by In the Fall of 2018, our WKDF Program Educational Institutions Relating to Career Director spoke with students at Susquehanna Opportunities in Broadcasting University about career opportunities in radio broadcasting as well as what is required to enter this industry, encouraging and answering their questions throughout the presentation. {01411171-2 }5 .
