He left school to perform in theatre and nightclubs and in 1944 met singer Dean Martin. In 1946, they became a duo in NewYork nightclubs, combining Martin's singing and Lewis' comedy. In 1949, they made their film debut in My Friend Irma. The pair hosted the Col- gate Comedy Hourand starred in films, including Scared Stiff (1953), and Hollywood or Bust (1956) before splitting. Frequency: -T----- Run of success A FUN run inspired by a Campbellfield man's love for his son raised $46,562 for the Muscular Dystrophy Research Foundation last month. Ozi Akyildiz started Run for Strength after his son Kaya was diagnosed with the disease in 2008. More than 500 people joined the run around Albert Park Lake last month.
