Essa Kargi Vija Diwa Kargil Vijay Diwas is a memorial of the victory of the Kargil war in India. Kargil war was fourth India-Pakistan war and it was only direct war between two nuclear capable nations. The war was started in May and ended in July . Stor of War During February 1999 Our PM Atal Bihari Vajpayee jii visited Lahore.There India and Pakistan signed a treaty between them which is called as Lahore Declaration .Under this treaty the both nations had to avoid use of nuclear weapons and had to solve all disputes peacefully. But in Sometime between February and May Pakistan started occupying high altitude posts of India. This was noticed by local shepherds .They told this to Indian Army. The high altitude posts were so important for India and those were inside India's boundaries . that's why the war was started as India wants its posts back from Pakistan It was very difficult for India to fight . The Pakistani soldiers took advantage of high altitude , that's why Indian Army attacked during night . They had to fight in very low temperature. On 4 July India took Tiger hill,Tololing and many more back from Pakistan . On 4th July Nawaz Sarif ordered pullout of troop because the war was getting away from their hands due to Indians bravery. In war Bofors FH-77 B field howitzer helped India greatly. 26 July was the final day of battle and India had gained its all posts back from Pakistan. That's why on this day we all over the India celebrate Kargil Vijay Diwas every year to salute and remember the heroes who keen our boundaries safe from enemies. 4 Paramveer Chakra were given to Vikram Batra, Yogendra Singh Yadav, Manoj Kumar Pandey and Sanjay Kumar for their bravery . Total 527 India's soilders were martyred ,1 fighter jet and helicopter were shot down and 1 fighter jet was crashed. The war is also known as Operation Vijay and Operation Safed Sagar . G8 nations and several other nations supported India and criticized Pakistan for it's doing. So On this Kargil Vijay Diwas ,let we all give a grand Salute to the real heroes of India because of whom our boundaries are safe .
