Smareglia – INAF INAFINAF @@ VOVO--AIDAAIDA WP8: JRA - Assessment of emerging technologies WP.8 - Data Maining (INAF) Building upon the expertise matured in the VO-Tech framework: • Using an existing pipeline (2dPhot) we plan to port on the GRID a data processing pipeline (from raw images to catalogues) capable to run on (optical) survey data. • Use the VONeural models to implement a user friendly and general purpose interface to perform data mining tasks on Massive data sets within a distributed (GRID-like) computing environment. • This interface will largely draw on the resources made available through the VO- Tech project (in terms of interoperability). • The interface will be designed and documented with a large set of examples and templates in order to be used also as a “teaching tool”.
