Page 2 John Jay Teets II, ([email protected]), (http://johnteets.com), Dec 21, 2011 Dad was an honorable man, and I was always very proud of his accomplishments. He died too young, of lukemia, at age 44. When he was a young man, he was a painter with his father Leslie Teets Sr. He also was a good carpenter, and he and his dad built our houses on Pocahontas Street, side by side. I remember the pride he had when he was elected City Councilman. He worked typically 7AM-9PM every day at the Esso gas station that he owned/operated, unless someone could help him out (like me, usually).
