Keep in mind that there are families and non-students who also share our community. Give them the respect they deserve. No alcohol is permitted at any event. If alcohol is found on an individual at an event that is grounds for disqualification of your chapter from Greek Week as well as potential conduct/judicial repercussions. If an individual from any chapter, including alumni, appear to be intoxicated at any event, public safety will be called with the possibility of disqualification from Greek Week. These rules regarding alcohol at events apply regardless of age Social events with alcohol will adhere to all councils’ and FSL social policies. All Greek Week events should be over no later than 11:00pm; however times may vary. Participants in Greek Week events must be full time active undergraduate members of their Drexel University recognized organization and must appear on the chapters’ spring 1 roster submitted to Fraternity & Sorority Life, with the exception of city-wide MGC chapters. Undergraduate members of city-wide chapters and alumni members of non- city-wide MGC chapters may participate on behalf of their organization as needed to fulfill number requirements. A list of all non-Drexel participants/city-wide chapter members must be submitted to FSL by the spring roster 1 deadline in order to participate. All chapter rosters will be provided by the Office of Fraternity & Sorority Life. When determining participation points, the spring 1 rosters will be the final count as “100%” of a chapter’s size. Participants/competitors not on the official roster will be disqualified and any points earned will not be counted. Points will be awarded for each event as stated in this guide. Points will also be awarded for turning in required items or information on time. Failure to turn in paperwork and required items on time or attend required check- ins will result in the loss of participation points for that event. ALL DEADLINES ARE FINAL. NO EXCEPTIONS. At the conclusion of all events, points will be totaled and the chapter with the highest total for each council will be the winner. Teams that do not participate in events will not only forfeit the possibility for placement points, but they will also not receive any participation points for the event. In the event of a tie at the end of all events, the two teams that are tied will compete in an academic trivia event the following day. Details on the tie breaker will be provided following tug of war if necessary. Rules are to be followed as stated in this guide. All decisions will be made according to what is stated for each event by the Greek Week Committee and other event officials only. A disqualification for any specific event will mean no points for that event (placement or participation). Scores will be updated and posted at http://www.drexel.edu/studentlife/fsl/greekweek.htm each morning by 10am for the previous day’s events. After this time, all points are final. Once winners or scores are announced there should be no contesting. Chapters must address concerns with the event coordinator or council Greek Week chair on the same day of the event if there are any concerns or discrepancies. Any concerns noted after midnight on the day of the event will not be addressed. Cheating will not be tolerated. Each chapter is expected to compete honorably and follow all the rules and guidelines. Concerns related to chapters or individuals cheating must be emailed to [email protected] or the council Greek Week chairs only and must include the name and contact info for the person lodging the complaint. Any organization found in violation of any of these guidelines may be disqualified from an individual event or from Greek Week as a whole. A unanimous decision of the 3 Greek Week Council chairs will determine disqualification. Up to date information can be found on the Greek Week website at the following link: www.drexel.edu/studentlife/fsl/greekweek.htm. If any rules or events change after the rulebook is distributed to chapters, the information will be sent to chapter chairs and will be posted on the website.
