Betty Driver is a regular star on Talking Pictures TV. Every time we show her film Let’s Be Famous, we are inundated with calls from people surprised by her lovely singing voice. I recently had a lovely chat with Melvyn Hayes, who sends all our viewers his love. He says he was stopped in the street the other day after we aired one of his films and someone said to him, “Melvyn, saw you on TPTV yesterday, God you’ve aged!” he said: Given my career, at 86 years of age, that’s a shot in the arm, with the other two shots I’ve had lately, that makes 3!” – bless him! Melvyn hopes to join us at our next event in October.
