The Michael Libby Memorial Scholarship Purpose The Michael Libby Memorial Scholarship was established to grant financial assistance to selected graduates of Camden Hills Regional High School; providing opportunities for enriching, educational life experiences that contribute to the development of responsible young adults. The MLMS was established in memory of Michael D. Libby, who lost his life as a result of a snowmobile accident in March of 2007. Michael was a 2003 graduate of Camden Hills Regional High School and Mid Coast School of Technology. He was an outgoing young man with many friends, and he proudly participated in the CHRHS wrestling program. As a result of the support Michael received from mentors at both CHRHS and MCST, he went on to attend NASCAR Technical Institute in Mooresville, North Carolina. Criteria for Applicants The Michael Libby Memorial Scholarship is open to graduates of Camden Hills Regional High School who have been accepted to or are currently enrolled in a continuing education program, university, vocational or technical school. Special consideration is given to those who also attended Mid-Coast School of Technology and plan to pursue a career in technical fields such as automotive technology or auto collision repair; who participated in Special Education programs; or who participated in a high school wrestling program. Administration Administration for the Michael Libby Memorial Scholarship is managed by the trustees of the Michael D. Libby Memorial Fund. At least one scholarship of a minimum of $750.00 will be awarded. Additional awards and higher amounts will be granted subject to funds availability. Please forward completed applications to Angie Carlsen at CHRHS by April 16, 2021.
