The meeting committees have produced a wide array of programs and courses that feature the Michael A. Meenaghan Symposium on Implant Dentistry, the Alan J. Drinnan Memorial Symposium and---returning for its third year, the Robert J. Genco Distinguished Speaker Series. Please review the wide range of courses. The offerings start on Wednesday with several regulatory/required courses and continue with last year’s addition of “hands-on” courses, this year featuring lasers and composite technology. 5-year Reunion Classes have the new ‘Remember When’ Reception to look forward to on Thursday night. It was a big hit in its inaugural year last year. The convenience of moving what had been the SDM Reception to a downtown location brought increased participation, reminiscing and fun for all. Over the past three decades, this meeting has evolved into the premier continuing education event serving the greater Western New York Welcomedental community by providing outstanding experiences coupled with excellent networking opportunities. The leaders of our Dental Alumni Association, in conjunction with a group of dedicated alumni volunteers from the University at Buffalo School of Dental Medicine (SDM), have dedicated a tremendous amount of time and effort to ensure the meeting’s continued success. Because of their continued efforts, this years meeting will showcase over 25 speakers and more than 150 exhibitors. The meeting’s program includes highly regarded speakers in the areas of dental medicine. Our own alumni members, John Asaro ‘73, Scott Benjamin ‘78, Joseph Berloff ‘75, David Croglio ‘87, Chester Gary ‘78, Ronald kaminer ‘90, Robert Majewski ‘76, and Othman Shibly ’99, have contributed greatly to this program. Additionally, the 7th Annual Alan J. Drinnan Memorial Symposium features alums Raymond Miller ’85 and Mary Bush ’99 with SDM member Peter Bush. There are several opportunities to reconnect with faculty and friends or to meet students and colleagues. Festivities begin with the Opening Night Celebration on Wednesday, November 2. Alumni and friends are encouraged to attend the “Remember When” Reception and the Reunion Dinner Dance at the Hyatt Regency. The Reunion Dinner Dance, which concludes our meeting, will feature music from the Boys of Summer and highlight the 5-year classes of 1941, 1946, 1951, 1956, 1961, 1966, 1971, 1976, 1981, 1986, 1991, 1996, 2001, and 2006.
