Land Acknowledgement We honor the indigenous Powhatan land in Tsenacomoco, also known as Richmond, Virginia, where Virginia Commonwealth University sits. This acknowledgement does not take the place of authentic relation- ships with indigenous communities, but serves as a first step in honoring the land we occupy and as an act of resistance against the erasure of their histories. As you are watching our film, we encourage you to reflect on the land that you are on, who the traditional keepers of the land are, what the treaty relationship is, or if it’s unceded territory. Statement of Belonging, Dignity, and Justice The faculty and staff of the Department of Theatre at VCUarts unequiv- ocally condemn all forms of bigotry, racism, and anti-Blackness. We are determined to support all our students by mindfully creating a culture of both safety and accountability within our department where BIPOC students feel seen and all our students feel valued. We seek to include, reflect, and give agency to the varied experiences of our community being mindful of the historically marginalized AAPI, BIPOC, LGBTQ+, and ADA communities.
