It currently has about 1,853 active members, and has been awarded 2018 outstanding Section membership recruitment performance from IEEE Headquarter. In 2018, IEEE Indonesia Section have achieved several global achievements such as R10 Humanitarian Technology Activities Section Award: in recognition and appreciation of value services and contributions. Our volunteers also achieved R10 Humanitarian Technology Activities Outstanding Volunteer Award: Yoke S. Irawan in recognition of outstanding contribution and services for humanitarian technology activities to the IEEE Indonesia Section, R10 Young Professionals Outstanding Volunteer in Academic Award: Kurnianingsih in recognition outstanding contributions and services to YP academic program and to the IEEE Indonesia Section. Furthermore, Mrs Muhfizaturrahmah receive $500 USD in funding toward a future TISP teacher training event and Mr. Arifin Nugroho received appreciation from IEEE VP Technical activities for notable services and contributions towards the advancement of IEEE and the Engineering Professions. Among all grades of IEEE membership Indonesia, member grade and student grade are two largest membership grades that shares about 69.23% and 30.7% of all active member, respectively. In 2018, membership development program succeeds to encourage members to elevate themselves and become senior members. We have increased 22.5% senior members this year compared to year 2017. IEEE Indonesia Section has activities in 17 society chapters/joint chapters, i.e.: 1. Computer Society Chapter 2. Communications Society Chapter 3. Circuits and Systems Chapter 4. Engineering in Medicine and Biology Chapter 5. Solid State Circuits Society Chapter 6. Joint chapter of Microwave Theory / Antennas & Propagation 7. Joint chapter of Aerospace & Electronics Systems Society / Geosciences & Remote Sensing Society 8. Joint chapter of Control System Society / Robotics & Automation Society 9. Education Society 10. Electron Devices Society 11. Power Electronics Society 12. Power and Energy Society Chapter 13. Signal Processing Society 14. Society of Social Implication of Technology (SSIT) Chapter IEEE Indonesia Section has 23 student branches (SB) and 15 SB chapters in several universities in Java, Sumatera, Bali and Sulawesi islands and three Affinity Groups, namely Young Professional, Women in Engineering, SIGHT, and Human in Technology Rural Empowering (HTRE). IEEE Indonesia section has also organized several activities almost weekly. Its activities are related to Technical, Education, and Social Activities, such as ICT Training, Workshop, International Seminar, Focus Group discussion, and Distinguish Lecturer Tour (DLT) activities all around Indonesia. The main discussed topics are related to the technology for humanity, such as Internet of Things (IoT), 5G, Big Data, Artificial Intelligent, Robotic, Engineering in Medicine and Biology, Antenna and Microwave, Satellite Technology, Circuit and Device, TV Digital and Renewable Energy, In terms of collaboration, IEEE Indonesia section has a good and mutual relationship with ICT organizations, Industries, Universities as well as the government in Indonesia. IEEE Indonesia also participated in the preparation of forming a new regulation related to ICT in Indonesia, such as Near Field Communications (NFC), Short Range Device (SRD), Broadband Wireless Access (BWA), TV Digital Terrestrial, Internet Transaction Electronics (ITE) and also 5G. IEEE Indonesia Section also actively providing support to the Indonesia Government, as a member of Working Group (WG) of 5G Development. IEEE Indonesia has also been awarded from R10 the 2017 best medium section award and received it in March 2018. Other achievements such as 69 annual International conferences with IEEE have been conducted in Indonesia. We have conducted one Distinguish Lecture Program “from Indonesia to Indonesia”. This program means that the distinguish lectures are professors and Senior Member IEEE from Indonesia. This program is held to reach the vast territory of Indonesia and is aimed primarily to the regions in Indonesia as one of the efforts of equitable distribution of knowledge that can be done by IEEE IS for the Indonesian nation. We held a chapter chair meeting for all IEEE Chapter in Indonesia with objective to provide guidance and motivation for Chapter/Joint Chapter officers to conduct activities and reporting regularly on time. We also held the several Teacher In-Service Program (TISP) workshop, Humanitarian Program and Dr. Yoke from SIGHT chapter have received $44,750 USD of funding from HAC. Major Events (International, National) Most major events of IEEE Indonesia Section were organized with the collaboration of Chapters, Student Branches and other organization such as Universities, Industrial or Government institution. The IEEE Indonesia Section continues to provide support and facilities to all Chapters and Student Branches to make it easier for them to arrange their activities and events. These events usually consist of: Officer meetings, coordination (Administrative) Technical Activities: Training, Workshop, Seminar, Focus Group Discussion (FGD) Education Activities: About IEEE, About Student Branch, by Law meeting, How to Manage IEEE Conferences Social Activities: General Lectures, ICT Regulation discussions Professional Activities, Distinguish Lecturer Program (DLP) Teacher in Service Program (TISP) workshop Meeting with other organization In year 2018, there were total 71 activities conducted by the IEEE Indonesia Section, which can be categorized as : Professional = 5 Activities Technical = 15 Activities Nontechnical = 21 Activities Administrative = 30 Activities February 2018 1. IEEE TISP WORKSHOP Education officer of IEEE Indonesia Section and Education Chapter Indonesia Section, sponsored by IA-ITB (Institut Teknologi Bandung) Chevron conducted Teacher in Service Program (TISP) Workshop in Pekanbaru on Saturday, February 3rd, 2018. This workshop was held at SMA (High School) IT Ijtihad, in Pekanbaru. It was attended by about 30 teachers of high school that have major in Mathematics, Physics and Biology in Pekanbaru. The mentor for the workshop was Dr. Ayu Purwarianti, the chair of Education Chapter Indonesia Section. Photo session IEEE IS TISP 2018 The workshop was very successful.
