Provide a Topsoil Analysis: Prior to any planting or fertilizer Landscape Architecture • Land Planning application, a soil analysis shall be conducted by a qualified soil-testing laboratory. Soils that have been stockpiled on site shall be Urban Design • Tourism Planning evaluated for their suitability for supporting plant growth. If the soil test indicates that adequate US Highway 50 levels of phosphorus are available, consider using a phosphorus-free fertilizer. 5. Application Process: Trees and shrub planting should be monitored for adequate growth, but will not likely need additional fertilization from what is required at the planting stage. Apply fertilizer to lawn areas two times each year. Apply ½ to ¾ pounds of nitrogen for every 1000 square feet of lawn. Fertilizer should be applied in early June and late Project B Area August. The late summer application should be done when the average daily temperature is below 50 degrees Fahrenheit (average daily temperature is determined by adding the daily high and low temperatures and dividing by 2).
