Motion passed. · 3. Considerable discussion centered on the issue of membership and how to structure a salary to hire another salesperson. Staff will bring back recommendations next month. ,4. Discussion covered the proposed PAC bylaws. Diehl pointed out her concern that the Chamber officers have time constraints and that we should not burden them with more responsibility. Briggs will take those points in consideration and will make needed changes to the bylaws and present them to the board of directors. 5. Lindgren reported that KTLA's ad sales have stalled for the Christmas Parade. Many advertisers want to know what celebrities have committed before they will consider signing on. This could affect the Parade bottom line and KTLA's willingness to do the Parade again. Staff is working to recruit a couple of prominent stars to help with the ad sales. 6. It was agreed to sign on as a partner for L.A. Inc's Hollywood Visitor Information Center for $5,000, but that Gubler will request for an annual reconsideration of the request from L.A. Inc. rather than a five-year mandate. 7. Gubler was directed to send a second letter to the Mayor, expressing our disappointment at the lack of a response from his office to our request to move the Marathon route 8. It was agreed that the Chamber should sponsor a table at the PAL Dinner.
