We are excited to see all of our friends and colleagues from across the country and the many international attendees joining us. We look forward to getting to know the many new participants in the rapidly advancing field of shared mobility. This year’s Summit highlights two crucial issues facing communities: climate change and ensuring equal access to jobs and economic opportunities. We bring together a diverse set of leaders and innovators across sectors and industries—public, private, and NGO alike—to discuss the big issues facing cities and regions, and how we can respond by implementing and managing new mobility technologies. From the deployment of electric and shared autonomous WELCOME LETTER vehicles, innovations in bikesharing, carsharing, scooters, ride- hailing, on-demand transit and new efforts to integrate these modes with public transit, you’ll have the chance to dive into myriad mobility transformations that we must coordinate, regulate, and accelerate to create mobility for all. Whether it’s in a plenary, breakout session, or implementers workshop, we encourage you to take full advantage of the diversity of participants around you in asking questions, sharing your experiences and engaging in thoughtful dialogue. Your next partner for an upcoming pilot maybe sitting next to you! Over the next couple of days, we hope the Summit will inspire and equip you to increase sound mobility choices for your community. Thank you for your commitment, leadership, and ongoing work to make our cities and regions more equitable and sustainable for all.
