Report on Theater show Date : 05 December 2020 Place : Atwari & Panchagarh Participants : HRDs, Local elite, Community people, Local UP members No. of Participants: Female-90 Male- 70 Total- 160 (Approximately) Introduction: Manab Kallyan Prished has relentlessly been implementing “Promotion of social partnership for empowerment of marginalised communities in 6 districts and at national level in Bangladesh - PROSPECT” project with the financial assistance of BMZ and technical collaboration of NETZ- Bangladesh in Thakurgaon and Panchagarh district. As part of its efforts, two theater show has performed at Pirganj and Thakurgaon sadar. Description: The plays were performed at Radhanagar union of Atwari upazila at 11.00 am and at 2.30 pm at Goalpara village of Gorinabari union of Panchagarh Sadar upazila. Union CSO members, Union Parished Chairma, members and local elite person were present in the shows. They spoke in a brief discussion before the start of the play. The negotiators said that without the implementation of human rights in the society, it is not possible to improve the living standards of the people. But at every moment we are facing human rights violations. So we all have to work together to establish human rights. For this, people from the grassroots level need to be aware of human rights. And raising awareness through entertainment is the most effective way. Through the enjoyment of this drama today, in a short time we will make a large number of people aware of human rights and try to play a role in establishing human rights in society. About 400 peoples including CSO members enjoyed the two plays. Achievement: • People's participation in enjoying the drama while maintaining physical distance. • Active participation of the people in the interaction of the drama. • Out of CSO peoples also gain basic ideas about human rights through drama.
