The Archives is the oldest state-funded Archives in the nation and is housed in a beautiful marble building that was completed in 1940, featuring museum galleries and a genealogical research facility. Exhibits include Alabama Indians, military and 19th century galleries along with a hands-on gallery for kids, "Grandma's Attic."
