
Baojun 530 platform Continue The Chinese twin MG Hector, Baojun 530, will have three seating options, i.e., 5-seater, 6-seater and 7-seater. Hector is offered as a 5-seater midsize SUV in India. The Facelifted Baojun 530 is the same platform-based as Hector with the only difference being that the Baojun 530 is 40mm longer. The 7-seater MG Hector is expected to be launched in India by 2020. Both MG and Baojun are owned by the same company that is SAIC Motor. The Hector SUV was launched in India in June 2019, it was the first MG car to be launched in the country. The car has received impressive reviews and huge demand. Hector's Chinese brother, the Baojun 530, sells a 7-seat model car in China. The Baojun 530 facelift also comes in a six-seater model along with captain seats for the mid-row and third row bench, and that may be offered in India by 2020. With this facelift, the manufacturer has brought a new kind of layout for the car, which includes four separate captain seats for the first two rows and one seat on the bench for the third row. The Baojun 530 facelift is actually 40mm longer and 10mm lower than the MG Hector SUV in India. Some of its upgrades include a new front grille, new projector headlights, and an updated bumper design at the front and back. The side profile is basically the same, but with a new set of alloy wheels that have helped boost the sporty look of the car. Inside the car, it has a new vertically stacked 10.4- infotainer system. Another new feature is a fully digital cluster of tools. Outside, the SUV is bigger and has a sporty look. Some other features of the new model include heated mirrors, digital dials, parking sensors and a tire pressure monitoring system. The car's dimensions are long, wide and 4,695 mm, 1835 mm and 1750 mm respectively. The SUV's wheelbase is 2,750 mm long. The 2.0-liter diesel engine, although it should be upgraded soon in violation of BS6 emissions standards, will be offered soon. It produces 170PS and 350Nm, which is paired with a 6-speed manual transmission. It will have two transmission options that are 6-speed mechanical and CVT automatic. The 5 and 7-seater versions are currently sold in some selected Asian markets.
