SHRI JESUDASU SEELAM: Will the Minister of HOME AFFAIRS be pleased to state: (a) whether the Union Government has initiated any action on the Ordinance for transfer of certain mandals from Khammam district to East Godavari and West Godavari districts for facilitating Polavaram Project and other issues as provided in the Andhra Pradesh Reorganisation Act, 2014 and also as was assured by the then Prime Minister on the floor of the Rajya Sabha on the 20th February, 2014 during the passage of the Bill; and (b) if so, the details thereof? ANSWER MINISTER OF STATE IN THE MINISRTY OF HOME AFFIARS (SHRI HARIBHAI PARATHIBHAI CHAUDHARY) (a) to (b): A Statement is laid on the Table of the House. ***** STATEMENT IN REPLY TO PARTS (a) TO (b) OF RAJYA SABHA STARRED QUESTION NO. 153 FOR 3.12.2014. (a) to (b): An ordinance, for transfer of certain mandals from Khammam district to east Godavari and West Godavari district for facilitating Polavaram Project and other issues was promulgated by the President and notified in the Gazzette as Andhra Pradesh Reorganisation (Amendment) Ordinance, 2014 on 29th May' 2014. On the 11th July, the Replacement Bill giving effect to the amendment to section 3 of the Andhra Pradesh Reorganisation Act, 2014 with retrospective effect from the 29th May, 2014 was passed by the Lok Sabha. On the 14th July, it was also passed by the Rajya Sabha. The amendment received the assent of the President and was notified in the Gazzette on 18th July' 2014. This repealed the Andhra Pradesh Reorganisation (Amendment) Ordinance, 2014. ****** .
