Here are some definitions that will help you understand more about paying for higher education. Tuition is the bill you receive for taking classes at a college or university. Tuition is separate from the other costs of attending college, such as paying for room and board, books, facility fees, and TUITION transportation. A grant is a monetary gift, most often based on personal financial need. A grant does not need to be GRANT repaid. A loan is money borrowed and repaid in a given amount of time, with or without interest depending LOAN on the legal agreement.
