Account number 95119299 Sort code 60-10-19 Entry wristbands will be posted to entrants shortly before the Show. 2 Cup Winners Winners of cattle and sheep breed championships, cattle special prizes, beef and sheep interbreed championships, HVYFC cattle and cade lamb classes and Hope Show Sheep Young Handlers classes are cordially invited to receive their cup(s) from Hope Show’s President in the Grand Parade. The Grand Parade begins at 3:30pm (unless otherwise announced). Cattle class winners will be marshalled in the cattle ring at 3.00pm. Sheep class winners will be marshalled in the MV accredited or Non MV accredited section of the Parkin ring as appropriate at 2.30pm. Chief Sheep Steward Jane Needham will call. MV accredited classes and Non MV accredited class winners will be transported to and from the main ring in designated MV accredited/Non MV accredited trailers followed by the cade lamb and Hope Show sheep young handlers on foot. They will be stewarded to main ring behind the main sheep class winners. MV accredited sheep will be first in the ring. Collecting cups Cups will be ready for collection from the Livestock Secretary’s Tent from 4pm onwards and/or as soon as the cups are returned from the Grand Parade. Declaration Cups will be the responsibility of the cup winners until returned to Hope Sheep Dog Trials and Agricultural Society. While the Secretary may be able to offer some general advice, you are strongly recommended to read the information from DEFRA, with regard to the showing of livestock. This is available from DEFRA or one their website www.defra.gov.uk. Exhibitors must comply with Health and Safety Regulations. All exhibitors must sign the entry form to acknowledge the Rules and Guidance Notes as issued and to show compliance with the Livestock Movement Regulations. The general Rules and Regulations for Hope Show are printed in the Show Schedule at the back of this document. Further copies are available from the Livestock Secretary. The individual number and date of birth of stock entered are to my inserted on entry forms where and when requested. Local exhibitors must reside within 10 miles of Hope Church unless otherwise stated. A radius map in available for inspection from the Livestock Secretary. All livestock at the Show must have been the bona-fide property of the exhibitor for at least 2 months immediately prior to the Show (rule 13). All cups and trophies are “Perpetual Challenge” and cannot be won outright, unless stated otherwise. All transport must be removed from the cattle and sheep lines to the designated parking area before judging commences. Livestock transport MUST use the way marked route for livestock vehicles only. All stock must be on the Showground by 9:00am on the day of the Show. Late arrivals may not be allowed entrance. Stock brought onto the field on the night before the Show remains the responsibility of the owner. Every effort is made to ensure security on the site. In the event of an emergency, every effort will be made to contact the owner. Should veterinary advice be required, this will be at the owner’s expense. No stock shall leave the Showground until 4:30pm. This may change on Show day at the discretion of the Livestock Chairman. If there are less than 3 competitors entered within a section the committee reserve the right to amalgamate classes in that section. All 1st and 2nd prize winners are eligible to compete in their respective breed championships. Any Judge and the Chief Livestock Stewards decision is final. 6 Notes for Cattle Exhibitors Cattle exhibitors are reminded of the regulations with regard to bovine TB. Further details are available from DEFRA. Animals that calf or show evidence of calving whilst on the Showground must be placed in the approved isolation accommodation pending their possible early removal from the Showground. Where an animal calves prematurely or aborts, the Divisional Veterinary Officer must be informed immediately. The animal must be returned home TOGETHER WITH ALL THE ANIMALS FROM THE SAME REGISTERED PREMISES after a full range of samples (including possible placental smear) has been taken. The animal must be isolated in transit. All cattle movements must be reported to BCMS – stickers available from cattle tent. Bulls must be handled in accordance with HSE Guidelines. All beef cattle/dual purpose must have metal clip in nose, to include 2nd year Young Farmers Calves, if participating in the Grand Parade The Grand Parade will be held at 3:30pm. All Champions and First Prize Winners must to take part, failure to do so will result in no prize money been given. Cattle will be allocated a space in the marquee on a first come first served basis, late entries maybe housed outside.
