History was made when our U16 Girls team was Three on Three Basketball the first NZ U16 team to reach the top four at an Australian Positions Available National Championship. Congratulations to Oceania Junior Secondary School Premiership Final Goldrush for winning the Championship and to Waikato Placing Wizards for winning the Plate Grand Final. There were Honors Awarded to Phil Jones and Pero over 140 women playing in this tournament. Past and Cameron present Tall Ferns featured in many of the teams providing Goodbye from Roslyn a great mix of youth and experience. Our sincere thanks to Palmerston North, North Harbour and Otago Basketball Associations for hosting the WBC this year. The 2011Tall Blacks squad has been picked and has just finished their first tour playing in China. Congratulations to the Tall Blacks for winning the Stankovic Cup Tournament after facing Russia in the final 80-77! Thomas Abercrombie and Kirk Penney were also named in the All-Star Five tournament team.
