ACTION 4 Notes of the Last Meeting It was resolved that the notes of the meeting held on 20 July 2016 be signed by the Chairman as a true record. 5 Current Policing Issues – Partners and Communities Together (PACT) No update as no officer present. 6 Shropshire Fire and Rescue Firefighter Brad Kingsley spoke about current issues. Mobile phone charging – it is not safe to leave chargers plugged in overnight or unattended. Smoke Alarms – make sure they are regularly tested. Free smoke alarms – are available to disabled people and pensioners. Call 01743 260 200. Fire trucks – some discussion took place about inconsiderate parking that prevents access for the fire truck. Particular problem areas are Hodgecroft and Havelock Crescent. Brad will try to find out if there are any leaflets available to put on cars. 7 Community First Responders Robin Bennett spoke about first responders in Much Wenlock. West Midlands Ambulance Service train volunteers to provide emergency medical care and treatment before the arrival of a full time ambulance. Much Wenlock has its own response vehicle. William Brookes School and Bella Rosa sponsor it and Wenlock Motors maintain it for nothing. Fund raising is essential and they are currently in the process of trying to raise funds for defibrillators in Easthope and Stanton Long.
