Lummukkakangas heath provides a home for wood grouse, three-toed woodpeckers, Ural owls, Siberian jays, European otters, and Siberian flying-squirrels. The Viitaneva- Storholmanneva wetlands bird population is noted for the diversity of its species and the number of mated pairs, including common cranes, European golden plovers, and wood sandpipers. Geese and swans spread out over the wetlands during migration season. The PaljakannevaÅkantmossen wetlands offer sightings of hen harriers, black woodpeckers, loons, honey buzzards, and golden plovers. Kirkkopakka Kirkkopakka is a reddish formation of granite boulders left over from the last ice age. This site is in Alahärmä, Ekola and is a place of many old and mysterious tales.
