The desktop computer keyboard and mouse can be used to enter and edit data and then sync it with the handheld. The Desktop software is included with the purchase at no additional charge. Beaming Records in SplashID can be beamed via IR or Bluetooth to other devices running SplashID, providing an easy way for coworkers to share records or for spouses to share credit card or PIN information. vID Records can be imported/exported in CSV format or in Virtual ID (vid) format. A vid file is simply a text export file that is encrypted and password protected. A vID file can be securely sent (via email) to others and they can simply double-click the file and enter the password to decrypt the data and automatically import it into their database. Data can also be archived in vid format for backup protection. In fact, vid backups happen automatically.
