Nicolas Parola The Nicolas Parola shop is a traditional workshop with each maker crafting their own instruments by hand. We believe these to be among the best violins, violas and cellos available today. The hand- work is superb and the skill of the craftsman is extraordinary. The Luthiers are very focused on making quality instruments in the tradi- tional way. The best quality materials are used and each instrument is hand graduated according to the characteristics of the tone wood. Last year, the introduction of the the Italian oil varnished NP30N and NP30E violins, AP30N and E violas and the CP30N and E cellos was well received. This year the all new NP5 violin, AP5 viola and CP5 Cello have joined the impressive offering. All the instruments that make up the 5 series feature a rich dark Italian oil varnish with a warm, classical antiqued look, feel and sound. Stefan Petrov The shop of Stefan Petrov continues to offer wonderful instruments that are replicas of the old Italian masters. They are finished to perfec- tion with a warm, rich, clear, hand-rubbed varnish and special antiqu- ing. Their tonal qualities are exceptional as is their playability. Stefan Petrov now offers three levels of violins and two levels of viola. The Workshop model uses quality aged materials and is made by a promising apprentice under proper supervision. The Standard model uses highly figured, well aged loft seasoned tone wood. The bulk of the hand work is completed by an apprentice. It is then hand gradu- ated and varnished by the master maker. The Superior model is made completely by Master Petrov. European tone woods are hand se- lected for their intrinsic tonal qualities. The instrument then receives a lightly antiqued hand oil varnish. This year Petrov is making a limited number of his standard instru- ments out of European tone wood. These instruments are identified by the EURO indication on their labels. Keith, Curtis & Clifton The shop of Keith, Curtis and Clifton continues to make some of the most affordable and best European instruments available today. Their total commitment to make quality instruments by hand and offering them at the lowest possible price sets this European maker apart from all others. They not only offer a great value, but also an instrument at every play- ing level - from student to professional. All are made from loft sea- soned European tone wood and German ebony.
