David wanted to write how it is ok to be different to other people. So in 2008 he published a book called ‘The Boy In The Dress’. It is about a boy who loves to play football and likes to wear dresses. This book sold over half a million copies. • David has now written 12 chapter books and 6 picture books. • His books are illustrated by Quentin Blake and Tony Ross. • Many of his books have been turned into films which David often appears in.
