FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE: JUNE 6, 2017 COLUMBUS BLUE JACKETS INVITE FANS TO 2017 NHL AWARDS VIEWING PARTY AT THE BLUESTONE ON WEDNESDAY, JUNE 21 Watch party to celebrate the Blue Jackets having an NHL‐high four finalists for five awards will include appearances by forwards Boone Jenner and Oliver Bjorkstrand COLUMBUS, OHIO – In celebration of the four Blue Jackets that have been named finalists for five individual NHL honors, the club invites fans to The Bluestone (583 E. Broad St., Columbus, OH 43215) for a party to watch the 2017 NHL Awards and NHL Expansion Draft on Wednesday, June 21. The televised event will celebrate the League’s top talent from the 2016‐17 season and reveal the initial roster of the League’s 31st team, the Vegas Golden Knights. Doors at The Bluestone will open at 7 p.m. with live coverage from the T‐Mobile Arena in Las Vegas beginning at 8 p.m. ET. Blue Jackets forwards Boone Jenner and Oliver Bjorkstrand will join fans at The Bluestone, while CBJ finalists representing the club in Las Vegas include Sergei Bobrovsky (Vezina Trophy – top goaltender; Hart Trophy – most valuable to his team), Nick Foligno (Mark Messier Leadership Award), Zach Werenski (Calder Memorial Trophy ‐ most outstanding rookie) and John Tortorella (Jack Adams Award ‐ coach of the year). Blue Jackets radio play‐by‐play announcer Bob McElligott will host the event and conduct a question and answer session with Jenner and Bjorkstrand throughout the evening. Fans will have a chance to win a meet & greet with the players during the party and one lucky fan will win a trip to Las Vegas for the Blue Jackets’ first‐ever road game against the Golden Knights. Other opportunities include the chance to win one of the new 2017‐18 Blue Jackets adidas jerseys. Tickets to the viewing party are available now at www.BlueJackets.com/CBJawards. General admission tickets are free, but limited, and all ages are welcome. VIP tickets are $10 and include guaranteed entry into the event, one paid drink ticket, a limited‐edition commemorative print and automatic entry into the raffle for the Las Vegas trip. A portion of the ticket proceeds will benefit the Columbus Blue Jackets Foundation. Orders are limited to six tickets per transaction.
