Gorabie Txakoli 2020 Region Arabako Txakolina is a DO in the Basque Country, Northern Spain. The DO, officially recognised only in 2001, is the youngest in the region and one of only three recognised areas for Txakoli (pronounced `chack-oh-lee`). The others are Bizkaiko Txakolina and Getariako Txakolina. Arabako Txakolina has a relatively cool, humid climate which gives Txakoli`s main grape variety, Hondarrabi Zuri, a long ripening period. Producer Located in the Basque Country in northern Spain, Astobiza are committed to creating high quality, estate bottled, hand harvested wines from local grape varieties which are a true expression of the region. Tasting Notes Made from Hondarrabi Zuri and Hondarrabi Zuri Zerratie (the Basque name for Petit Corbu), this Txakoli is a bright lemon colour with green reflections. Pear, apple and citrus aromas donimate the nose. The palate is dry, clean and fresh with notes of green apple and white flowers with a crisp grapefruit acidity.
