Curriculum vitae Research Interests At present, I aim to understand the evolution of geographic variation in acoustic signals in bats from an integrative perspective that includes a wide range of behavioral ecological, physiological ecological, developmental, genetic, and evolutionary approaches. Recent and ongoing projects include: i. The characteristics and function (adaptive value) of acoustic signals in bats; ii. Testing the roles of drift and selection on the geographic evolution of acoustic signals of bats; iii. Uncovering the evolutionary drivers of complexity of acoustic communication signals in bats.
