AGM 2018 Director Nominee details (three positions are available) Candidates page 1 of 1 Name: Tess Lawley Qualifications: Bachelor of Communications (Professional Communication), RMIT University Experience: As a former PBS office volunteer and announcer and an active volunteer in the community broadcasting sector, Tess has extensive experience in: • NFP strategy and operations; • finance and compliance; • media production; • volunteer engagement; • training; • media law; and • community broadcasting licensing and codes of practice. Tess is a former General Manager of SYN Media and Board member of the Community Broadcasting Association of Australia (CBAA). Tess currently works as a management consultant at Nous Group and volunteers as an announcer at our fellow community broadcaster Triple R. Tess believes in the diversity and power of the Melbourne music community and the crucial role PBS plays in it. As a Board member and chair of the programming committee (PPG), Tess works to ensure PBS' vision, actions and programming grid reflects and strengthens that community. Length of any service as a director of PBS or other Co-operatives: Director of PBS since November 2016, and PPG Chair of PBS since December 2016. Director (Youth Representative) of CBAA (Company limited by guarantee) 2014-2016. Name: Jayne Lovelock Qualifications: Bachelor of Music, Bachelor of Arts, Master of Arts & Entertainment Management Experience: Jayne started her career as a musician, and has since been a producer, festival director and fundraising executive. After completing a degree in music performance and a brief performance career, Jayne received her Master of Arts & Entertainment Management. Currently the Director of Development at Melbourne Theatre Company, Jayne was the CEO and Director of Melbourne Fringe Festival from 2012 - 2015, and has held management roles at Malthouse Theatre, Multicultural Arts Victoria and Orchestra Victoria. She is passionate about using her skills in corporate and philanthropic fundraising to support Australian artists and musicians and is committed to helping PBS fundraise to move us to the Collingwood Arts Precinct. Length of any service as a director of PBS or other Co-operatives: Has served as a director of PBS since July 2017 and is also Chair of the City of Yarra Arts Advisory Committee. Formerly, Jayne served as a Board Member for KAGE Dance and on the Advisory Board for crowd-funding platform Pozible. Name: Jurgen Schaub Qualifications: Hands on and Diploma of Management Experience: More than ten years volunteering at PBS. More than 20 years of technology experience along with nearly 20 years of management experience. Built a nationwide streaming and radio-on-demand service for community radio stations. Sitting on the Development and Operations Grant Advisory Committee at the Community Broadcasting Foundation. Eight years as Senior Manager of Information and Systems at a large not-for-profit, working collaboratively across other agencies and with the Victorian Government. Completed Leadership Victoria's "Board Orientation Series". Length of any service as a director of PBS or other Co-operatives: Six years as a board member of PBS, one year as Chair. Two and a half years as a board member of 3MBS (retired). .
