Non-Building By-law Enforcement There was one non-building by-law action in August. Chronology of action to date to obtain compliance Date Details November 7, • Received written complaint about 2005 secondary dwellings on property as well as a duplex being rented as a four plex November • Building Inspector visited site and 16, 2005 photographed and recorded all buildings February 23, • Letter sent to property owner outlining 2006 contraventions • The property owner has been out of town for a number of months prior to confirming acceptance of the letter. July 2006 • The property owner requested an inspection of the property to acknowledge that the infractions have been resolved. August 29, • The Building Inspector and Planning 2006 Research Clerk performed an on site visit. Outbuildings were de-commissioned and are no longer being used as residential dwellings (cooking facilities are removed). The lower floor of the duplex has been stripped of the cooking appliances and toilets. Sept 2006 • File will be closed and complainant and property owner will be advised.
