
Position: Bat Boy/Clubhouse Worker FLSA Status: Hourly Non-exempt (part-time) Start Date: April- September Roles And Responsibilities: Fill all water coolers for dugouts and bullpens before game. Carry equipment such as bats, balls, helmets and any other gear necessary, to and from dugout when asked or needed. Any other duties asked by the Clubhouse Manager, Players, Trainer, or Manager. Retrieve foul balls that remain on the field during the game and bring balls to umpires. Being aware of the game and paying close attention to umpire needs during the games. The bat boys will report directly to the Clubhouse Manager. Skills: Some knowledge of the game of baseball Willingness to learn, honesty and strong attention to detail. Dependable with a professional attitude. Hard working and versatile with the ability to work in fast paced environment. Good communication skills and the ability to deal with all personalities. Requirements: At least 16 years old with reliable transportation to and from Classic Park. Must be available to work at least 60 games during the 2017 regular and post-season, if necessary. Ability to work well with others and as a team. Takes initiative and has a hardworking, positive attitude. Ability to work odd hours throughout the summer months. Be able to arrive for work one hour prior to start of game and remain at work until approximately one hour and 30 minutes after each game.
