Binghamton University Athletics Sponsorship Program

BInghamton UnIversIty athletIcs sponsorshIp program Building PartnershiPs Message FroM the athletic Director At Binghamton University, more than 425 talented student- athletes compete each year on intercollegiate athletic teams while another 200 students play supporting roles as members of our spirit squads and serve as team managers and student-trainers. These students enhance their college experience through participation in our athletic programs, and the impact of their role as Bearcats reaches far beyond competing for the University. Intercollegiate athletics is a vital part of our campus culture, inspiring loyalty and pride among students, alumni and friends of Binghamton University. Our teams play an important role in promoting our University’s name. By competing on the courts and fields as well as in the classroom, student-athletes focus attention on the outstanding quality of Binghamton University. Just over a decade ago, the Binghamton Colonials were part of an NCAA Division III program. Today, our Division I Bearcats compete against flagship schools throughout the Northeast, and they regularly vie for conference championships and achieve All-American status. Our teams have garnered national recognition and some of them have competed in front of audiences of millions on ESPN2, CBS, Time Warner Cable Sports and Madison Square Garden Networks. As we move forward with the University’s comprehensive campaign, we seek private support to help level the playing field against our more established peers and enhance the overall experience of our student-athletes. Binghamton University is a first-class institution, and that is how we will continue to represent it with your support. Thank you for considering joining our team.
