Listed below here are the early American wars: The American Revolutionary War (1775–1783), also known as the American War of Independence, was a war fought primarily between Great Britain and revolutionaries within thirteen of her North American colonies. The War of 1812 was fought between the United States and Great Britain. This war was fought from 1812 to 1815. The Mexican-American War was fought between the United States and Mexico between 1846 and 1848. The American Civil War was fought between the northern and the southern states of the United States of America between the time period of 1861 and 1865.
